INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY MUST ACT TO END ALEPPO ATROCITIES - WEDNESDAY, 14 DECEMBER 2016

13 December 2016

Labor is deeply distressed at repeated, disturbing and credible reports of massacres and other atrocities in Aleppo.

The siege, and now fall of Aleppo is a massive humanitarian catastrophe, requiring urgent and immediate action from the international community at large.

Labor calls on all parties involved in this conflict, to now do all they can to bring the fighting to an end, halt the attacks on civilians, and ensure that killings and atrocities are prevented.

Russia, in particular, has the greatest influence over the Assad regime and therefore, more than any other nation, has the power to end the suffering of the people of Aleppo.
