VOLUNTEER GRANTS PROGRAM EOI
The Department of Social Services is holding a new round of the Volunteer Grant Program in 2021. Expression of interest (EOI) forms can be completed below until 5:00 pm 12 April 2021. Before submission, you must consider the Grant Guidelines document available online at https://www.communitygrants.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/03_2021/2021-volunteer-grants-grant-opportunity-guidelines.pdf.
Funding of up to $132,450 has been made available to each federal electorate to support projects that support and encourage the work of volunteers within our community. Organisations can apply for grants ranging between $1,000 and $5,000. To be eligible for this program, your organisation must have staff made up of at least 40% volunteers. This year, individuals are not eligible to apply for a Volunteer Grant on behalf of an organisation that is not a legal entity, typically this might be an unincorporated organisation or informal community group.
The EOI should reflect an understanding of the eligibility criteria and the grant guidelines, it must include:
(1) The name, contact details, the ABN of your organisation.
(2) Evidence the organisation utilises at least 40% volunteers.
(3) A brief description of the proposed project.
(4) The amount of grant money being applied for.
(5) A summary of how this project will promote volunteer participation.
Following the closure of submissions on April 12, your organisations’ EOI will be assessed by the Maribyrnong Grants Panel. If your EOI successfully meets the criteria, you will be invited to submit your application online to the Department.
There are numerous eligible projects that your organisation may wish to consider seeking funding for under this Program. Examples include transport costs for volunteers with disability, fuel costs incurred by volunteers, training for volunteers and small portable items that directly benefit volunteers.
Please ensure you complete all fields in the form below to submit your EOI.
