Eid Al-Adha is a celebration of faith which demonstrates to all Australians the important symbolic nature of sacrifice; a lesson observed from Ibrahim’s example and the strength of his faith. 

Many Australians are currently undertaking the Hajj pilgrimage, travelling to the cities of Mecca and Medina, and we wish them a safe journey home. 

The Australian Labor Party is committed to the values of multiculturalism and recognises the remarkable contribution that the Muslim community makes to our country.
