On behalf of the entire Labor Party I congratulate Andrew Barr and his team on their victory.

Yesterday Canberrans voted for Labor’s positive, long-term vision for Canberra’s future.

The people of the ACT re-elected a government committed to renewable energy and fair-dinkum public transport. 

Canberrans voted for more jobs, better schools and quality public healthcare and rejected the right wing Liberal agenda that Malcolm Turnbull has so readily embraced.

Canberrans sent a message to Mr Turnbull that they did not want another Liberal voice at the COAG table helping Mr Turnbull make more cuts to our schools and hospitals.

I look forward to working with Andrew as he delivers the right plan that will create jobs and improve services in the nation’s capital.
